The companies are selected by the manager based on the analysis that the companies are available at market prices less than their value based on certain recognized or objective criteria (intrinsic value). It usually invests in securities from at least five different countries, although, from time to time, the fund may invest all of its assets in a single country. The fund also may invest <20% of its total assets in securities of U.S. issuers, and securities of issuers from the Levant (Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian territories), the Middle East, and the remaining regions of the world.
